Prior to joining UCL, Craig worked in environmental consultancy in Western Australia, designing and running large scale marine environmental assessment and monitoring programs for the Energy and Resources sectors. Before working in industry, Craig taught marine ecology, experimental design and statistical analysis for five years at Sydney University (where he was also a U2000 Research Fellow) and for three years at Deakin University in south west Victoria. Prior to that, he was a post-doctoral research associate at the University of Melbourne and before that worked as a senior (abalone) fisheries biologist at the South Australian Research and Development Institute in Adelaide.
