It is with great sadness that we announce Ms Jenny Nery, Project Manager for the Translational Imaging Group, has passed away.
Jenny Nery joined UCL in August 2009 as Personal Assistant to Prof. John Deanfield at the Institute of Child Health, and as Cardiac Research Coordinator within the UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science. In March 2011, Jenny moved to the UCL Department of Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering as Research Administrator, where she played a very significant role in establishing one of the highest annual research incomes per academic of any department at UCL. Jenny continued to progress in her career and in January 2014 advanced to the role of Project Manager of the department’s Translational Imaging Group and also managed a £10M Wellcome Trust – EPSRC funded project “Guided Instrumentation for Fetal Therapy and Surgery”. As well as being a highly skilful and effective administrator, Jenny had abundant energy and remarkable proactivity. She loved being busy, and was totally committed to UCL and her colleagues. Jenny made immense contributions to the success and sustained growth of the department, and her lively presence will be sadly missed by us all.
