Meet our newly promoted academics

Every year, University College London acknowledges its highest achieving staff with promotions that recognising their success in research, teaching and knowledge exchange. This year UCL Engineering has eleven promotions – three new professors and six senior lecturers, and two readers. To find out what makes them tick and what they bring to the faculty, read the interviews below.

Dr Farlan Veraitch

“The world is looking for its first blockbuster cell therapy – and if you get the efficacy right, you’re in business.”

Dr Vivek Dua

“For example, if you have to meet some chemical requirements and consider changes in environmental regulations, how much oil should you buy, where should you buy it, and how should you process it?”

Dr Tim Weyrich

“We’re trying to revert some computer graphics questions and bring them back into the real world – to bring all these abstract concepts into a real object.”
