Civil Engineers on the Italian Earthquake

Staff from UCL Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering (UCL CEGE)  and the UCL Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction  have been providing scientific and engineering informational support to media outlets around the world following the devastating earthquake in central Italy’s Umbria region on Wednesday 24th August.

Professor Dina D’Ayala, Professor Tiziana Rossetto and Dr Carmine Galasso, both from UCL CEGE and the UCL Earthquake and People Interaction Centre (EPICentre) have been interviewed by media outlets including Sky News, BBC Newsnight, 5 News Channel 5, BBC World Service, France 24 and US National Public Radio to discuss the 6.2 magnitude earthquake and its impact on the mountainous region.
