London-based organisations working in engineering and/or the built environment now have the opportunity to join our membership programme. Becoming a Member enables you to offer your knowledge and skills to local community groups on a pro bono basis. This can enhance your existing CSR activities, as well as reducing communities’ barriers to accessing support to address complex challenges facing their neighbourhoods.
Membership offers benefits including designated project work with London-based community groups that match your area of expertise; dedicated administrative support; discounts on our CPD training courses; and promotion of the work you do with us, through our range of communication channels.
Becoming a member benefits your organisation, by enabling efficient management of CSR activity targeting local communities, and making use of employees’ specialised skills and knowledge. Members also benefit from a well-established project management system, established by the EngEx and tested across our projects. We facilitate initial community ‘matchmaking’, as well as supporting you in scoping, together with the community group, a project with a well-defined timeline, aims and objectives. We also assist with project monitoring and evaluation.
You also benefit communities by widening the pool of available specialisms that can be accessed by groups that may not otherwise have access to technical skills.
And, you benefit the Engineering Exchange by supporting our work. All funds raised go directly back into supporting our programmes and projects!
